Charlene Martin Alexander was born on December 15, 1939, to Ruby Lee Taylor in Marshall, TX. She was a faithful member of Ward Chapel A.M.E. church for many years. Charlene was a graduate of Pemberton High School class of 1957. Charlene received an associate degree in Occupational Safety and Health from TSTC. Charlene worked for many years at Maximus as a Benefit Intake Manager.
Charlene was married to Wendell Alexander of Scottsville, TX for over 20 years. Together they had two children, Windell Treavel Alexander (Tracy) and Jarrett L. Alexander (Kayoko). Charlene traveled worldwide as a military spouse, meeting many friends and making lifelong friendships. She loved to fish, play dominos, and spades, but more importantly, she loved to spend time with family and friends. Charlene was an extremely generous person and always had a smile on her face.
Charlene was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Lee Taylor, and her sister Charetha Williams. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her daughter Elaine Caston (Gene) and her many beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.
A Celebration of Life event will be held, in Marshall, TX on June 15, 2024.
